1941: RAF bomb Hanover, Rotterdam Docks, Boulogne Harbour, Cherbourg & Ostend

11th Feb, 1941: FOR six hours R.A.F. bombers pounded the industrial area of Hanover and left raging fires, too many to be counted.

Heavy caliber bombs were used and more than 90 per cent, of our force reached their objective.

Large fires and explosions were caused other bombers a raid on the oil installations in the Rotterdam Docks, Boulogne Harbour, Cherbourg, Ostend, other targets in North-West Germany and two aerodromes in Holland were also attacked.
